Specific Standards
HTAN Centers submit assay data files and metadata to HTAN. HTAN's Data Model governs how the assay data is organized and what metadata accompanies the assay data.
HTAN Centers submit their metadata in spreadsheets called manifests. The HTAN Portal's Data Standards pages provide interactive, searchable and downloadable summaries of the metadata attributes, requirements and valid values expected for each data type.
The following table provides links to specific manifests within the Data Standards pages.

Data Submission
While Data Standards provides details regarding the HTAN Data Model, the manifests included on the HTAN Portal are for reference only.
⚠️
HTAN Centers should not use the manifests provided on the Data Standards page for data submission. Please use the Data Curator App (DCA) to obtain manifests for data submission. More information about submitting assay files and metadata can be found in the Submitting Data section of this manual.
For additional notes regarding how to submit data for each data type, please see the Specific Assay/Data Element Details page of this manual.
