# Introduction

Only HTAN Centers and Associate Members can submit data to HTAN repositories. The Data Submission Section of this Manual is intended as a guide for HTAN Centers and Associate Members. Please note that the manual currently reflects the data submission process used in HTAN Phase 1. Changes will be implemented for HTAN Phase 2, including a new method for submitting manifests.

❗ Prior to submitting data, all data must be de-identified. Please see Data De-identification for more information.

# Phase 1 Data Submission

In Phase 1 of HTAN, Data Submission involved two key steps:

1. Uploading assay data files to Synapse; and
2. Completing and validating manifests using the Data Curator App (DCA).

# Phase 2 Data Submission

Please stay tuned for directions regarding submitting data in Phase 2. This will include the same key steps noted in Phase 1 However, the Data Curator App will be changed to a new tool.

Specific details regarding data submission and the DCA will be included in later sections of this manual. Please contact your Data Liaison if you have any questions or issues. Please also keep your data liaison informed of any expected data submissions.
